After moving from Australia to the United States in search of a fresh start, they face financial hardship, uncertainty, and many challenges. Through it all, their mother’s unwavering faith, courage, and determination help hold the family together and inspire hope in the middle of difficult circumstances.

As the story unfolds, we also see how the children begin discovering and developing the musical gifts God has given them. What begins as a family simply trying to make it through a hard season eventually becomes the foundation for something much bigger. Two of the children go on to become well-known Christian artists—Luke and Joel Smallbone, who form the Grammy-winning duo For King & Country, and their sister Rebecca St. James, who becomes a celebrated Christian singer and songwriter as Rebecca St. James.
